CBCC Summer Camp Sessions 2018

SESSION I
"Transportation"

June 18 - 22, 2018 (1 week)

From planes to trains to automobiles, campers will examine the many different ways of getting around! Children will design and build their own vehicles, and explore the various methods of powering them. A special vehicle will roll into camp for a demonstration!

SESSION II
"The Stories of Eric Carle"

June 25 - July 6*, 2018 (2 weeks)

From hungry caterpillars to busy spiders, campers will discover the wonders of nature through the writings and unique art of Eric Carle. Children will create nature collections, explore Clara Barton’s monarch butterfly garden and create their own literary and collage works, inspired by the beloved children’s author. A visiting naturalist will be featured.
*  Summer camp CLOSED on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in observance of Independence Day..

SESSION III
"The High Seas"

July 9 - 20, 2018 (2 weeks)ladybug

It will be great fun to “sail away” and explore all of the wonders of the ocean. Campers will have a whale of a time constructing and testing boats, investigating shipwrecks, encountering a friendly pirate and searching for buried treasure!

SESSION IV
"ARound the World"

July 23 - August 3, 2018 (2 weeks)

Update your passport and pack your bags! Campers will travel to different countries to learn about their cultures, customs, cuisines, dress and sights. The session culminates with a tour around the world where each group takes a turn representing a country and hosting “tourists” from the other groups.

SESSION V
"Space Exploration"

August 6 - 17, 2018 (2 weeks)**

Campers will voyage through the day and night skies, exploring our galaxy and beyond. Join us as we build and launch rockets, make a replica of the solar system, and experiment with space materials. We will also have some special visitors “splash down” to teach us about space. The possibilities are infinite!
** Camp CLOSES at 12:30 PM for all campers on Friday, August 17, 2018.
